The slum school has been chosen as the area to work for design research project. The major drivers of the system were identified during Primary research. The slum schools were visited in Delhi and NCR to have interaction with children to understand their psychology and interviewed teachers to understand the present situation.

We choose a book as a medium as it is compact, could fit in various kind of environment, it could be preserved easy and it is considered as an epitome of knowledge, therefore, it would be easily accepted by teachers.

The story is chosen as a medium to transmit knowledge and information. The character and storyline have been kept simple and with which students could relate them. In the story, the main character explores new adventures in every chapter which will create an affinity of kids with the character. Their wish to know ' What's next in the story' would keep them connected and interested in the book.

A small activity portion is added in the book which could easy done with the help of easily available material like pamphlets of the grossery store. These active would help the untrained teacher in interacting with students and understand them in a better way.

The detachable practice sheets are added to the book. As during our primary research, we found that sometimes students even do not have money to buy notebooks for practice. These practice sheets are would be easily available in the market at a very affordable price which slum schools can afford. And through this, a book could be used for more than one student as in most of the cases slum schools have very limited budget.
